1990s special edition spots

It's always good to see old cars being used as 'dailys' but there is something even more special about spotting a rare 90s special edition.

The middle 90s was a prime period for manufacturers offering special editions, often base models enhanced with garish metallic paint finishes, colourful patterned upholstery, the odd extra wiper or other feature, and almost always a bizarre name emblazened on a bright sticker splashed on the back and sides.

I myself had a brilliant 1992 Peugeot 205 Zest in metallic Miami blue followed by an awful Vauxhall Corsa Trip run-out model for work. When I met my wife, she was driving a turquoise Peugeot 106 Inca, which although excellent, had only 4 forward gears and very few features.

Fans of the television series 'The Inbetweeners' probably know Simon's yellow Fiat Cinquecento Hawaii very well, but it was infact never a genuine model.

Anyway here is a 1996 Toyota Corolla Kudos edition, and spotters gold, an immaculate 1997 Seat Ibiza Salsa I spotted recently.
