Spring/ Summer 2017

Busy time stripping, sanding and spraying.

Put an awful amount of hours into refurbishing my Alfa Romeo Speedline (fake) split rim alloys and also tidied up a door mirror and painted a new mirror cap that came in primer.

The wheels took at least 10 hours each in paint stripping, rubbing with wire wool, sanding, flatting, polishing and spraying. The stripper was industrial strength (from Ebay) and fortunately didn't melt the (fake) plastic bolt heads, although I still needed a few applications to shift the original factory laquer.

The centres were primed with cellulose primer/filler then sprayed with acrylic silver base coat. Fake bolts were primed and painted by hand with a tiny brush then eveything clear coated with 1 pack laquer. All spraying through a gun.

Glorious Goodwood

I've been to the Festival of Speed almost every year since 1997, and always on the Friday so far...

13th June 2017

Fulfilled a little ambition of riding a motorcycle to the world famous Ace Cafe in London.

Pretty unpleasant journey to be honest, but had a nice pie and chips lunch. It was a weekday so nothing really happening, but a few people and bikes there.
